Darlene Shortridge ~
Author, Growing in Christ Wednesdays

Darlene Shortridge lives in Northeast Wisconsin with her husband and son.   She is passionate about family life, her church and worship.  Her interests include cooking, entertaining, scrapbooking and traveling.  Darlene attended Alderson Broaddus College as a voice major where she found she was more passionate about her writing classes than her vocal classes.  She left college early and since that time has written such projects Bible Studies, Bible School Curriculum and poetry.  She has also written and recorded a CD of original music.  Until Forever is her first novel.

Besides her writing endeavors, Darlene enjoys speaking to groups of all different sizes and varieties.  Topics are varied and are tailored for each individual group.

What others are saying about her writing, her ministry of song and her speaking:

“…well rounded story left me wanting more.  I don’t typically read contemporary Christian novels, preferring historical so that the story doesn’t get too personal or real as I tend to internalize them.  I cried tears of sadness, as well as tears of joy in this novel.  I think Darlene ranks right up there with some of the better known authors of our day in her writings.  Can’t wait to read her future works.”

-Melanie, Ohio

“Darlene Shortridge is an anointed author, singer/songwriter and speaker.  Her ministry to women crosses all racial, social, economic and denominational boundaries.  As an author, Darlene’s writing style creates characters that readers can relate to as they face their own trials.  The Lord has anointed her to bring the people of God into His presence as she ministers in song.  Her messages deliver transparent and powerful truths to women, enabling them to find the strength to trust God through all their struggles.”

-Charles Butler, Pastor, Covenant Church Fox Valley
